Time Flies

It sure seems like this year is flying by... and it just started.
New Years was a nice, quiet evening spent at home. By Christmas the LM had his first tooth. By New Years, the second had come in and he was sitting up on his own.
As normal crawling still eludes him, LM has figured out how to get around rather efficiently with a combat crawl. It is amazing how quickly he can get around using this method of crawling! You really have to watch him carefully if you put him on an elevated surface, as he loves to scoot around. Nothing really keeps him still anymore.
The combat crawl has gotten old by the first part of February, and LM has adapted to doing an adaptation of the worm instead. He gets into crawling position... then lifts his little arms and rocks onto his belly until he gets to his intended target. It is so cute, but he always falls back into doing the combat crawl when I try to record him.
February 16, 2012... tonight was the night. LM ventured into the world of actually crawling instead of doing the combat crawl or the worm to get around. We placed him on the bed after work and he crawled around in circles as though he was trying to show us how well he'd learned his new trick. Now, there is no keeping him still. He loves to crawl everywhere... and has already gone after Bella more than once.

Watching LM grow and develop is so much fun. He is such a beautiful child... and a complete joy. Our house was too quiet before, I don't know how we ever got along without this precious little sweetheart in our lives.
